Dave and I, very willingly I might add, standing outside on our back porch with no coats on amidst heavy, wet sloppy snow. Dave leaning over me holding a bright red and white striped golf umbrella to shield my camera from the snow, while I stood hunched over a dining room chair covered by a hefty bag, photographing winter apparel we should have been wearing. All the while I was hurriedly stuffing in and pulling out an array of gloves and scarves from Ziploc bags (chilled, yet dry items are essential for capturing individual flakes).
Snapped with my Canon 6D using my Macro lens with some crazy settings that, if you’re interested in attempting this, I’d be happy to share… The only edits made were adjustments to the contrast and cropping in a bit tighter on the flake.
