Open your eyes, there is beauty everywhere…

Day 127

I adore color.  It speaks to me, inspires me, color motivates me, and makes me feel alive.  It really makes no difference to me where it is or what it is, if it’s bright, bold and beautiful I’m immediately drawn to it.  That said, the winter season can be difficult for me, and in the past I suppose difficult for me to find beauty.  Yes, snow is lovely, icicles are beautiful too, and falling snow creates a hush that is intoxicating, but when the snow and ice melt, that familiar winter brown seems to be everywhere and it really kills my mood.

This year, because of my project, I have forced myself to intentionally seek out color and beauty, and I must admit, it really hasn’t been that tough to find…

Taken right outside of Boulder, CO with my Canon 6D and EF 24-105mm lens (with tripod and clicker)

“Each moment of the year has its own beauty…a picture which was never before and shall never be seen again.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
