I decided that for today’s photo I would continue with yesterday’s Macro work and find something interesting to photograph right here in our house. I figured that would be an easy task as there are always plenty of items to photograph around our house (or any house for that matter).
After wandering in and out of each and every room, picking a variety of items up, deciding if they were the perfect piece for today, and ultimately putting all of them down, I choose this item. This particular item, a simple brooch, not extravagant or valuable, is precious to me because of whom it belonged to before it became mine. I chose this item because I love it and I love it because it was my grandmothers.
My Grandmother was a loving and kind soul plucked from this world far too early, a woman both loved and dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her. I have photos of she and I taken when I was very young, but I have no memories of my time with her and maybe that’s why I treasure the brooch it’s a piece of her, my little piece of a woman I wish I had known…
All of today’s pics were taken with my Canon 60D and Canon 100mm Macro Lens (tripod and remote clicker)
