You might be thinking to yourself that perhaps I’m feeling a bit lazy or that maybe I’m lacking in inspiration. I mean didn’t I just photograph a whole mess of bugs on Friday? Well, I will admit that I did, but in my defense there is a good reason for needing a low maintenance, right out my back door photo today. Literally, I needed to just walk out the back door and have my subject be there and be photo ready, and as luck would have it, there were a few lazy stragglers still in the grass from Fridays mass ladybug freeing.
After a decision to move my blog off of self-hosting (for a variety of reasons) my husband and I spent the last two days undoing all of the work we did in March, and I can finally say that the site is up and fully functional. Hats off to my spouse for this, I’m not the technical brains in our family and without him this blog would be a big hot mess.
I would promise that tomorrow will bring a new and original subject, but I’m having two teeth pulled in the morning so I guess we’ll have to wait and see… I will say that when I purchased the big bag of ladybugs on Friday, that I also purchased two egg sacs filled with praying mantids (apparently each sac yields 40 mantids). As of about an hour ago the egg sacs were eerily moving around in their container (I have weights on it so they don’t escape and infest our home over-night) so I’m hopeful that tomorrow may yield an entirely new mess of interesting subjects to photograph…
