Weekly Photo Challenge: Details – the well loved violin

Day2668-1

Day 266

Both my husband and I were fortunate enough to be raised by parents who encouraged us to participate in extracurricular activities at school. We were both given instruments in Elementary school, both received private lessons, and both enjoyed playing and performing for several years. At some point long ago I sold my instrument, but my husband somehow hung onto his violin and it has sat undisturbed (except for a few moves) in it’s dusty old case for nearly 27 years. It’s got the bumps, bruises, and imperfections you would expect from the well-loved instrument of a child, but I still think it’s beautiful and that’s why I chose it as today’s subject…

Snapped with my Canon 6D, Canon 100mm Macro lens with settings at 1/8s, f/7.1, ISO 1600 (tripod with remote clicker)
