A revisiting of yesterday’s “The only real luxury is time…” in B&W

Day 277

Yesterday’s pics rank as some of my favorites of all of the images I’ve created over the past 277 days. I think I’m so pleased because the end result is almost identical to my initial vision for the photograph.

It’s still crazy to me that when I set out on this journey I really believed I would be a Landscape Photographer, I was convinced that I would happily pursue that subject for the entire year. I think maybe I believed this because the Majestic Rocky Mountains are very nearly in my own backyard, or maybe I believed it because I really had no idea of all of the different types of photography, or perhaps because I had no idea of what I was capable of creating.

Whatever the reason, I’m not a Landscape Photographer, frankly I’m not a fan of shooting landscape shots, at all. I find myself gravitating to Macro and stylized shots of objects, nature and food – I love Portraits of people, I look forward to opportunities to shoot Street Photography and I love capturing shots of any sort of bug. I’m so grateful that I have been provided this opportunity, this chance to create something, and I’m thrilled that it’s becoming something that I am rather proud of…

Today’s shot is one of yesterday’s captures (I did shoot pics today, but I will admit that they were rather boring) converted to B&W using Silver Efex Pro 2.0.
