In the early days of my blogging journey, I must admit that I could only focus on making sure that I captured at least one decent use-able photo every day, and that the accompanying post was free from embarrassing grammatical errors (and not boring). Back then I didn’t spend time exploring or following other people’s blogs, and I certainly didn’t understand the value that such interactions would have to the continued joy and success of my blog.
As days became weeks, and weeks became months, my creativity waned, and I desperately needed help, guidance and encouragement from others. It was then that I began seeking out like-minded individuals to follow and learn with, each one of them with their own unique reasons for creating their blog and joining this world. I love it when one of my posts touches someone and they leave me a comment or offer feedback. I genuinely look forward to seeing the daily posts of the folks I follow and I love it when a post touches me and I’m able to offer up my thoughts or comments. I thoroughly look forward to and enjoy the positive interactions, funny conversations and playful banter – I must say that joining this world has been a very pleasant experience.
That said, I must admit I was completely shocked (even a little hurt) when another blogger posted a nasty comment about my personal bio and picture onto one of my posts this week. I blocked them from ever being able to post on my site again and I changed a few of my account settings so that comments from new folks must be manually approved. I also considered not participating in further WordPress hosted challenges (which is how this person discovered my blog), but I decided that I wouldn’t let one unpleasant person ruin what has been an otherwise fantastic experience for me. So today I ventured out in search of people having fun and today I am participating, again, in WordPress’s Weekly Photo Challenge-Fun.
Today’s pics are not exactly my idea of fun, but the climbers featured in today’s photos, well I’m sure they would certainly call this their idea of fun…. All pics were taken using my Canon 6D and Canon 70-200mm lens
